User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071008 Firefox/2.0.0.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071008 Firefox/2.0.0.8 The Sea Monkey Applications suite presents itself as a fully feature suite of applications for regular internet usage. It states that it is an “all-in-one Internet application suite”. However an FTP client would be a very nice complement to the list of applications offered by Sea Monkey. As such, if an FTP client was offered this suite would be really complete and can present itself as a complete replacement of a multitude of tools. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Agreed a FTP client would be a nice feature to have in SeaMonkey, for all platforms not just for windows, even one like FireFTP for Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/684) would be nice. It maybe to late for this to make it into SeaMonkey 2.0 but maybe it can in the next release.

It's unrealistic to include this is the "wanted" feature list for SeaMonkey 2. If someone comes up with the code, ideally as and add-on that even works with current nightlies, and provides a patch, we can still talk about reviews and including, but we don't have the development force to concentrate on this.

You can get an SM-compatible FireFTP from <http://xsidebar.mozdev.org/modifiedmisc.html#fireftp>. For SM itself I think this is overkill and I take KaiRo's comment as generally agreeing with me here. We're already a small development team and can hardly keep up with the changes in FF and TB. We're trying to cooperate with the KompoZer devs so some improvements to the Composer FTP part are likely to happen but beyond that I don't think we'll develop a full-fledged FTP client as yet another component of the suite. Thus marking WONTFIX. Feel free to reopen if you think you can convince the SM council (KaiRo et al.) or implement it yourself. Still I think an extension is the way to go (or use an external app).
