User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/523.10.3 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.0.4 Safari/523.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-US; rv:1.8.1.8) Gecko/20071008 Firefox/2.0.0.8 I clean installed OS X Leopard and installed most recent Firefox. Korean fonts that I type are broken. But most contents are ok. Just fields, toolbar, selects and buttons have problem. When I used OS X Tiger, it was okay. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Same here (sorry I can't be more detailed; it's my first time using bugzilla). 10.5 Leopard. I'm using the "Bon Echo" Intel build (I've tried firefox 2.0.0.9 from mozilla and it's the same). The browser on top in is firefox. Please note the font in the tab, the pulldown button and compare them to safari, the bottom browser. The font is displayed the same way in Preferences > Content > Font & Colors.
Exact same problem. Running OSX 10.5.0 Broken on: Firefox 2.0.0.9 Firefox 2.0.0.10 RC 11/15/07 Camino 1.5.3 Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 Fixed on: Camino Nightly build 11/15/07 Firefox 3.0 Nightly build 11/15/07 The search bar and any text input boxes all break korean language input. I tried to enter: 한국 but instead I see: (ㅎ ㅏ ㄴ ) (ㄱ ㅜ ㄱ ) it seems like they are not being properly grouped/stacked. Look at how the bug results in a spread out version of what is proper. Each syllable is grouped by () instead of being stacked. Also when you input the letters you see ????? until you finish entering group. Anyway if you enter that into an input box, the results on the web pages return properly. It seems to be only a effecting mozilla related products. Nothing else on the OS does this.
I have the same problem as described by Noah Shibley. Broken on: Mac OS X 10.5.0 Firefox 2.0.0.11 But works with same browser version on different Mac OS X version. Works on: Mac OS X 10.4.11 Firefox 2.0.0.11 Similarly, same browser version works OK on Windows Vista. So I can only (and always) reproduce this bug with Mac OSX 10.5.0 (aka Leopard)
A user "Kat" on support.mozilla.org described this problem on a clean install of Leopard and Firefox 2, on the website http://endic.naver.com/ Here is kat's description of the problem with that page: Kat: left nav and some lower page content does not show correctly Kat: page title and tab title wrong display The elements described specify the "굴림" ("gulim") font. Additionally, the page titles in the tab bar are not displaying correctly. The user reports that the text displays properly on Firefox 3 Beta 3, so this bug might already be fixed.

Since both comment 2 and comment 4 say that there is no problem on Firefox 3, I'm betting this has been fixed by some of the recent OSX font work, but I don't have Leopard to test with.
trunk seems fine, haven't tested on 10.5 yet.
