A Good question. The problem now is that Firefox crashes so fast after it loads my home page (www.refdesk.com) that I don't have time to change the page to find out? How about trying www.refdesk.com and see if you crash as well?

Here's one way to launch Firefox without it showing your home page:
1. Launch Terminal.app (in /Applications/Utilities/)
2. Type or paste the following and press enter:
/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox about:blank
(If your copy of Firefox is in a different location, type that location instead of "/Applications/Firefox.app/", or drag Firefox to the Terminal window.)

I get no crash on that website using Firefox 3 beta 2
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9b5pre) Gecko/2008031404 Minefield/3.0b5pre
Navigate to:
www.refdesk.com
No crash seen on MAC - fresh profile + fresh dowload
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 Firefox/2.0.0.9
Can NOT Reproduce - need exact steps to see the crash.
Automatically updated to ver 2.0.0.9 -
Navigate to:
http://www.refdesk.com/
No problems encountered.
recommend close this bug - unless it can be reproduced.
