401900 - when I 'edit as new' a message from a folder (say, the sent folder), no 'insert' option appears in the taskbar.

 Of course this can be worked around (e.g. by copying the body of the message into a virgin composition), but it would be slicker fixed

Steps to Reproduce:
1.select a message
2.right click for context menu,select 'edit as new'
3.
Actual Results:  
 the 'insert' option is not displayed on the taskbar in the new message

Expected Results:  
the 'insert' option should appear (as indeed it does if I compose a brand=new message....

Neither Insert nor Format menus appear in version 3.0a1pre (2008040302), as described (when using "Edit as new" to resend a message). Should be changed to CONFIRMED.

Insert or Format doesn't appears if original message was in plan text. If you uncheck box "Compose messages in HTML format" even new messages will be w/o both menus.

If you select from Inbox, everything appears fine and in other folder there no menus Insert or Format in 2.0.0.12 or trunk build

works fine for me from inbox and a non-special folder - imap.

version 3.0a1pre (2008040903) - behavior is quite strange some message with additional menus and some are not, tried with special folders and not.

Yes, but that's not wontfix, that's bug 78794 of which this is a duplicate.
