Firefox crashes before the page is completely loaded. This happens in Linux, but not in Windows XP (although I have FF up to date in both environments).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
load the page
Actual Results:  
the firefox window closes without any error message

Expected Results:  
the page should display, or at least FF should tell politely it had a problem with it!

This web site is the french national meteorology service, so I suppose other users will have the problem too sooner or later. I never tried accessing this web site under Linux before today (I spend most of my time in WXP). I am upgrading my system from ubuntu 6 to ubuntu 7, but I don't know if this upgrade is relevant to the problem.

WFM, Firefox 2.0.0.9 on Linux.

If you have a Flash plugin installed, Please make sure it's the latest version.

Does the crash occur also in Firefox Safe Mode?
(it temporarily disables add-ons and themes, this test will help us narrow

No plugin at all, straight out of the Ubuntu box. Anyhow, in the meantime, I switched to Ubuntu 7.10 and the problem disappeared (I was previously in 7.06 and I believe the problem first appeared in Ubuntu 6.10). I regret I did not take the time to record the FF versions. It may be related to Ubuntu and not FF. Anyhow, since the problem disappeared, I suppose we can close this bug. Please don't ask me to go back to Ubuntu 7.04 ;-)
