When an extension tries to call |firefox -app /path/to/application.ini| using an nsIProcess, the extension is only able to do it once. The second time the extension tries to do it, Firefox pops up an error message saying that the program is already running.
Steps to reproduce :
1) Install the sample extension attached and install it on a trunk version of Firefox. Restart Firefox.
2) Under the Tools menu, select "Hello World"
3) Wait for the a "Hello World" window to popup
4) _Without_ Closing the "Hello World" window, repeat step 2 and 3
Actual Results :
An error message saying "Hello is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Hello process, or restart your system".
Expected Results :
Another "Hello World" window
Additional Information :
The expected/desired result is given in Windows. But someone has reported it not working on the mac, and I know it doesn't work on Linux.
Hopefully this is filed in the right component. It seemed like the best fit at 1am.
