We've used http://www.radikal.com.tr/radikal_3.xml (news from Turkey) as news feed since Firefox 1.5. See bug 348201. This time we'd like to use http://www.radikal.com.tr/radikal.xml (all news) as news feed for Turkish localisation of Firefox 3. Administrator of the site is OK with this, as he's always been. Please set up necessary redirections.

Mic, comments from your side? Ahmet, we only have one feed for both fx2 and fx3, so changing that redirect now would actually change it for all its current users. Is that the right thing to do from your point of view?

I think that the new news feed would be beneficial for current users too. That's why we proposed the change in Firefox 3 - content of proposed feed is richer while it's still coming from the same source. Users won't be limited to actual news from Turkey. They'll also get news from various topics that the newspaper covers.

Hi Ahmet thanks for update. seems like a reasonable change to me in terms of the rationale for richer content from same provider of good Turkish news. While I was checking into this I did some searching on Alexaholic and found this information. I realize it's not a definitive source, LMK what you think: the top sites for Turkish language http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/top_sites?ts_mode=lang&lang=tr the top sites for Turkey country http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/top_sites?cc=TR&ts_mode=country&lang=none also, can you provide me a contact name, title, and email address at radikal please thanks mic

(In reply to comment #3) > While I was checking into this I did some searching on Alexaholic and found > this information. I realize it's not a definitive source, LMK what you think: > the top sites for Turkish language > http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/top_sites?ts_mode=lang&lang=tr > the top sites for Turkey country > http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/top_sites?cc=TR&ts_mode=country&lang=none I know them. I think that these two lists fit well with surf choices of Turkish internet users. They look reliable. (In reply to comment #4) > i found this contact in my old records for Radikal > serdar at kuzuloglu dot com > is that correct? Yes, his email address is still serdar at kuzuloglu dot com and his web site is at http://mserdark.com/. Apart from his role of administring Radikal web site, he's a well known tech journalist and a producer.

It all right with us; plus an honour to participate on your project. Greets to you all, keep up the good work. Let us know about anything we may be helpful. we should be able to close this now i think. gavin?

(In reply to comment #8) > we should be able to close this now i think. > gavin? Looks OK from an approval standpoint, but I can't get the feed at http://www.radikal.com.tr/radikal.xml to work in Firefox 2 or Firefox 3. Seems to be an error in the feed. When I load the page directly, there are no results, and adding it as a live bookmark doesn't work either. We should sort this out before filing an IT bug to make the change. Ahmet, do you see this problem too? Sounds like we should probably contact them and see whether they can fix it. It seems likely that it's a problem with their feed.
