Flash media already disabled in QuickTime system preferrences. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Visit any Picasa Web Album. 2. Click on Slideshow button. Actual Results: Slideshow fails to initialize. Google displays the error message: Google Error 400 BAD_REQUEST Unable to process request. Expected Results: Auto-start standard album slideshow.

Either this is a problem on Google's end, or it's another instance of bug 400887. cl

I think Google is doing some bad sniffing. With a BonEcho build (20071113 BonEcho/2.0.0.10pre), I get the following message: 'You are using a browser that is not fully supported. Some features may not work too well, but you are welcome to have a look around.' And it loads very very slowly. Same story with Camino 1.5.3. The 400 BAD_REQUEST is more of a server issue. The linked image gallery loads fine on Camino trunk and in Camino 2007111500 1.6a1pre.
This completely a UA-sniffing-related bug on Google's end. 1.5.x works fine if I spoof as a branch build or if I include "Firefox" in the UA anywhere, and 1.5.2 and 1.5.3 both fail identifying as themselves. Minefield similarly ends up with a 400 BAD_REQUEST error. --> TE

Summary: Google Picasa Slideshows No Longer Play After Upgrade to Camino 1.5.3 → google.com - Google Picasa slideshows serve 400 BAD_REQUEST errors to non-Firefox Gecko browsers
I downloaded and installed the latest nightly yesterday, 11/17/2007... Problem fixed. I am no longer experiencing any difficulty with display of Picasa slideshows. As a matter of interest, I tested my earlier version, 1.5.3 stable release, just before install of the nightly. Same 400 Bad_Request error present. Installed nightly. Slideshow worked. Reverted to stable release version 2007102517 (1.5.3). Slideshow produced 400 error message. Back to nightly Version 2007111601 (1.6a1pre). Slideshow working. What has changed between stable release and nightly? I'll stick with the nightly for now. -R
PS - Version 1.5.3 displays message noted above, "You are using a browser that is not fully supported. Some features may not work too well, but you are welcome to have a look around." when visiting Picasa. Nightly does NOT display message. -R

(In reply to comment #5) > What has changed between stable release and nightly? The nightly includes the word "Firefox" in the UA.

Is this still broken, or has Google gotten a clue?

Picassa albums seem to be redirected to Google Plus now. So the initial bug in itself doesn't exist anymore.
