Build Identifier: Thunderbird 2.0.0.9 en-us, WinXP SP2 de
After upgrading from v2.0.0.6 to v2.0.0.9 the name resolution stops working (either with IMAP hostnames or with RSS URLs). Installed v2.0.0.6 from scratch and reproduced it. Happens with any profile. Replacing hostname with IP address works.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. upgrade from v2.0.0.6 to v2.0.0.9

Which Thjird-party Firewall are you using which blocks thunderbird ?

Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0.0.123, which works fine with 2.0.0.6
Maybe their "thunderbird.exe has changed" detection is broken.
I would need a test PC to do more tests...
Former upgrades from TB and even FF -> 2.0.0.9 worked together with KIS 7.

Does it work now after you manually updated the Thunderbird entry ?

I don't have resources to dig into this. I stick with 2.0.0.6 on this (productive) machine. Maybe, if I had a test-machine, I could dig into further.
