40443 - [Regression]HTML rich text widgets are broken(Bold, italic and underscored)

Description

Linux (2000-05-24-08 M16)
Steps:
1. Launch Messenger 
2. Click New Msg to open a HTML editor
3. Type some text in the Body field.
4. Click on the Bold icon and try to continue to type
Actual result: No response, unable to continue to type
Expected result: Should allow me to type bolded text.
This problem occurs when using Italic and Underscored icon as well.
5. High-light some text from step 3, and click on the Bold icon (or italic or 
underscored icon)
Actual result:  High-lighted text does not change to bold text (or italic or 
underscored text)
Expected result: I should be able to change text to bold text using the widgets

This occurs on Linux.  Have not tested Win32 and Mac yet.
It also occurs when using Task|Composer.
