User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 Firefox/2.0.0.9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b1) Gecko/2007110904 Firefox/3.0b1 After the initial installation of Firefox 3 B1 and starting it forthe first time, I ran into an alert with no content (see attached screenshot). This came up in front of another alert notifying me that a connection could not be made. At the time of installation and startup, I did not have internet access. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1.Disconnect from the internet 2.Install Firefox 3 beta 1 (note: I already had 2.0.0.9 installed) 3.Open the new browser, with the internet still disconnected Actual Results: An additional empty alert appears on top of the alert notifying a failure to find a domain. Expected Results: Either some content in that empty alert, or no additional alert beyond the "cannot find domain" warning.

Not an installer bug... over to general
Component: Installer → General
QA Contact: installer → general
Summary: Empty alert pops up at first startup after installation → Empty alert pops up at first startup on first run

Does this still happen with Firefox 3.6.6 or later in a fresh profile?

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.8 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
