X[25790]: segfault at 0000000000000010 rip 000000000053c817 rsp 00007fff60bdf6c0 error 4 I reproduced it three times, and I won't enjoy (accidentaly) reproducing it again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. open bookmark manager 2. select a bookmark (created with an older firefox version in my case) 3. klick on more or the arrow button right of keywords Actual Results: the whole x server crashes immediately Expected Results: certainly no x server crash using binary ebuild from gentoo: www-client/mozilla-firefox-bin Installed versions: 3.0_beta1(20:35:23 11/22/07)(linguas_de -linguas_be -linguas_cs -linguas_el -linguas_es -linguas_es_ES -linguas_fi -linguas_fr -linguas_fy -linguas_fy_NL -linguas_gu -linguas_gu_IN -linguas_ja -linguas_ka -linguas_ko -linguas_lt -linguas_nl -linguas_pl -linguas_ru -linguas_sk -linguas_sv -linguas_sv_SE -linguas_uk -linguas_zh -linguas_zh_CN -restrict-javascript)
The bug really is in the X server, it shouldn't crash regardless of what client applications do. Please report this crash to the X server vendor and/or gentoo. That said, we can certainly try to workaround the issue if possible, although that's not as high priority as a crash in Firefox.
