When you use an XmlHttpRequest to send a large amount of data, there is no way to know how is the request sending progressing. XmlHttpRequest only give you information through the onprogress event listener when it is downloading the request response.
It could be nice to use onprogress for that uploading stage (setting a flag in XHR or in the event object) or having an onuploadprogress event.
PS: It could be good to see if a standard say something about how to handle this.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an XmlHttpRequest object
2. send a request with a big amount of data being send it to the server
3. wait sometime until the response is being downloading to get the download feedback.
Actual Results:
The XmlHttpRequest object only give you a progress status when downloading the response, not when sending the request
Expected Results:
The XmlHttpRequest object would provide a way to get information on how is going the upload request.
