In Firefox 3.0 beta 1 (on 10.5 Leopard, not tested other systems), the "Select a different mirror" link of SourceForge download pages is completely unusable. Clicking the link causes the page to turn grey, and a spinning circle appears with the text Loading. This is normal, the problem is that it never loads. I suspect a problem with XMLHttpRequest. (The download page works fine in v2.0.0.9, hence regression.)

fist time the clock is spinning indefinitely, escaping and trying again makes the clock appearing stuck.
adding Fx2-Parity as it's working in 2.x. and giving a better demo url (without downloading).
OS: Mac OS X → All
Hardware: PC → All
Whiteboard: [Fx2-parity]

They certainly seem relevant. Need someone to look into this further - a reduced testcase or regression range would help. Bug 382509 might be related.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9b2pre) Gecko/2007120205 Minefield/3.0b2pre ID:2007120205
Getting this in error console:
Security Error: Content at http://static.sourceforge.net/include/thickbox/jquery.js may not load data from http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?group_id=6081&use_mirror=easynews&filename=UsersGuide-0.9.7.tar.gz&66324583.
Error: function eval must be called directly, and not by way of a function of another name
Source File: http://static.sourceforge.net/include/thickbox/jquery.js
Line: 1
Seeing this with today's nightly. +ing as this might be a generic issue..
Flags: blocking1.9? → blocking1.9+
Priority: -- → P2

*bump*
Mr. Hinojosa (Sr. Manager Support, SourceForge.net) closed my Ticket over there stating:
"We have investigated. As yet, Firefox v3 is not yet on our list of supported browsers as it is still in beta. This is the root of this issue."
-> is this bug to be moved to Tech Ev.?

No, this was fixed a while ago by bug 397855 (did you try again in a recent nightly?).
