By default, when adding a HTML link in the compose Windows, after clicking Choose File, Thunderbird looks by default for HTML files. However, this case is pretty rare. You mostly want to add a link to a document (if you want to insert a link to an URL you just copy/paste). By default, use the filter "All Files" rather than "HTML Files". This would be especially welcomed on Intranets.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Compose a mail.
2. Add a link (Insert/Link).
3. Choose File

Actual Results:
The default sort is "HTML Files".

Expected Results:
Please replace it by "All Files".
Sounds reasonable. While html as default for composer is fine, I don't think people usually add links to *local* html files.

Summary: Enhancement to add links in a mail. → insert link should default file selection to "All files" (not HTML files)
This has caused thousands of "needless" clicks in my usage.(html/multimedia)
A further refinement might be to "remember" the last chosen selection in the same way as the last searched folder for image insertion is saved.
