We are not able to download new email's at all but it's showing us that we have "X" number of mails pending, we are using thunderbird mail client from fast 2 years but from past few months we are regularly facing this problem. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Unable to download any new mail's from our mail server 2. 3. Actual Results: it shows downloading 1/xx mail's Expected Results: it should download mail
I don't know why this is happening to you, but this is not a security problem.

Nagaraj: Can you attach a protocol log to this bug when it has failed again? See http://www.mozilla.org/quality/mailnews/mail-troubleshoot.html#pop (maybe there is a computer where it happens frequently so you can set up the logging on that computer?).
