Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1.roll out update 2.0.0.12
2.
3.
Actual Results:
i cant i cannot roll out a new edition of firefox
Expected Results:
ignore the 2.0.0.x editions, its kind of counter productive to revert current stable build, when you are test running the beta

Could you please attach the file updates.xml to this bug. You can find it in
C:\Users\<windows_username>\appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\mozilla firefox
Please also post the modification date&time for that file.

Ok, that looks like a normal 2.0.0.7 --> .8 --> 0.9 --> .10 update sequence. Do you have other folders in
C:\Users\<windows_username>\appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\
Eg "Mozilla Firefox Beta 1". And do they have updates.xml inside them ?
Also, what directory did you install 3.0b1 into ? What dir is 2.0.0.x installed into ?

I installed beta 1 i believe it was uninstalled by a co worker :-( right now im running off a folder extracted off a zip of a nightly build (the folder currently sits on my desktop) Due to the volatile nature of betas and nightly builds i figured there would be no harm. I believe I submitted this when i had the first beta release installed properly.

I have just reported a similar problem with V3b2.
I turned off the options to check for updates and it still happened.
However, I then found that the desktop shortcut points to the original (older) version of Firefox. Once this is run, the system reverts to that version (stating it has been updated). Even running firefox.exe from the V3b2 folder shows it as 2.0.0.11.
I have updated the desktop shortcut, pointing it to the V3b2 folder and left the auto update check off. All seems ok now.

This should be fixed by bug 485624 and bug 313057. Javier, are you still able to reproduce?
