Although the status bar is set up to be showed always, and even looking it  checked at View-->Status Bar enu option, the status bar is not displayed. This doesn't happens when you open a new instance (window), but that window will lost the status bar when firefox restarts.

Does it happen in safe-mode if you
- reset your toolbars
- disable your add-ons

Thanks for the input, I've done what you advice but doesn't work. Only the first window shows the status bar, the remaining ones have no status bar, although it looks checked as if should appear.

All windows have status bars here with Firefox 2.0.0.11 on Windows XP.
You could try reinstalling Firefox after deleting the folder Mozilla Firefox in Program Files manually. Another option is creating a new profile: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Folder

Reporter: Please try to reproduce this issue with the latest Firefox version and on a clean profile (see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager#Windows for how to create one). Should things work then, please close this bug as WORKSFORME.
