i've got no sound on either IE or mozilla on ANY website
even the mozilla sounds arent working (i.e pressing backspace in an empty search bar)
I have tried a regedit solution deleting my temp files reinstalling firefox rebooting reinstalling flash player
one thing i have noticed is that in the sound mixer firefox doesnt show up when a video requiring sound is playing however i am unsure as to check where mozilla is outputting sound
everything else is fine i just have no sound

Not a security sensitive bug.
If the sound doesn't work in IE also, why do you think this is a bug in Firefox, then?

sorry i forgot to mention it was firefox that stopped working first

Yes, but since the sound also doesn't work in IE, how can it be a Firefox bug, then?

Firefox doesn't play sound, only plugins do and if this also doesn't work in IE, then is must be something on your system.
