User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b1) Gecko/2007110904 Firefox/3.0b1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b1) Gecko/2007110904 Firefox/3.0b1 I am on dialup and Firefox frequently stops loading page with no error message. Some pages that seem to be timeing out. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.My connection is busy 2. 3. Actual Results: It happens sometimes when page is a long time loading. Expected Results: either loaded the page or produced an error message telling me why page didn't load. Firefox version 2 did the same thing, Internet Explorer always gives an error message:ie Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage Most likely causes: You are not connected to the Internet. The website is encountering problems. There might be a typing error in the address. The reason i got this error in IE was because my dialup was downloading a file, i am sure a user with broadband connection would not have had a problem but it would be nice to see an error message in firefox to let me know the page is not going to load.
Does this still happen in Firefox 3.6.6 or later in a fresh profile?
