Load the accompanying test case.


Start Jaws or other screen reader.

Read the page; notice that the included list items are read properly.

Now press the "add item" button and use the screen reader "refresh window" command to be sure the virtual buffer is up to date. Now read the list. The last item was added by the javascript on the page and will be read in virtual mode with autogenerated item number of zero.

All items added by the script show autogenerated text (item numbers) of zero.


Expected Results:  

The autogenerated text should reflect the 1-based index of the list item just added.

Can no longer reproduce in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0. When I press the Add Item button, newly added items get consecutive numbers 3, 4 etc... Rich, if you still see problems, please reopen.
