Josh, I'm not able to test this. But I'd bet that it (like bug 407310) is fallout from your patch for bug 406362.

I see this bug using the proto theme - if I understand it correctly, Christiaan is dragging the favicon to another location (such as the toolbar), and when you drop it the favicon looks as if it is still selected (because of the Larry functionality?) I don't think you would see this bug using the default theme, since there isn't any highlight in the area near the favicon. If I am correct, should this bug move over to the theme bug that is tracking all the issues specific to that theme?

Marcia, if I'm right, this is a Cocoa widgets bug and happens only in 2007-12-06 and subsequent trunk nightlies. If you're right (and this is a theme bug), it should presumably also happen in earlier nightlies. Please try the 2007-12-05 trunk nightly (and perhaps also the 2007-12-04 one), and see what happens.

Steven: I checked Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b2pre) Gecko/2007120404 Minefield/3.0b2pre and Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b2pre) Gecko/2007120504 Minefield/3.0b2pre and they both show the behavior described in Comment 0 and Comment 2. I can dupe this bug to the Bug 397723, but I am wondering at what point we will actually track bugs against the theme versus just dumping them in the bug.

Thanks for checking, Marcia. So my comment #1 was wrong and this bug isn't related to bug 406342. It also does seem to be a bug in the proto theme. > I can dupe this bug to the Bug 397723, but I am wondering at what > point we will actually track bugs against the theme versus just > dumping them in the bug. I really don't know :-(
