Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 Build Identifier: 8.0.0.b2 Attempted to approve the self-signed cert for mail.8es.com to no avail. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Went to cert manager; servers. Entered <mail.8es.com> in pop-up, & confirm security exception. Checked. Got "This site provides valid...no need to add an exception" message. 2.Now have: Unknown not stored mail.8es.com entry in place in cert manager. 3.Still get "ssl_bar_cert_domain" rejection when trying to check mail. Actual Results: cert error rejection when logging in to checking mail. Expected Results: let me log in Previous version was OK; reverted to it. Could easily be a RTFM error but did not find anything on the cert manager changes in docs/readme/etc.

Will have to investigate when time permits. You might want to search the Thunderbird bugs to see if they have a similar bug entered as this will likely be a problem in Thunderbird 3.x as well. Matt

Searched and found potentially related #328993 but that's not exactly the same, and is far older. Note 8.0.0b1 does still work.

Note 8.0.0b1 does still work. > You can get the nightly builds at http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/ What you want is a Trunk build (for example, from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/2008-04-23-03-trunk/). As for Eudora 8.0.0b1 working, that is not unexpected as 8.0.0b1 was from before we moved to the Trunk (ie. the 2.x Thunderbird code). Matt
> What you want is a Trunk build (for example, from > http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/2008-04-23-03-trunk/). <http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/2008-04-23-03-trunk/thunderbird-3.0a1pre.en-US.mac.dmg> fails in a similar if not identical manner. Approving the security exception is fruitless. Entered as Bug 430512 there.
