Seen using  Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2007121304 Minefield/3.0b3pre.

STR:
1. Go to Bookmarks | Show Bookmarks in the File menu
2. Receive Assertion in screenshot.

Existing profile with no extensions installed.

Perhaps this is 10.5 only. I don't see this on Win XP or Mac 10.4 with latest nightly builds.

This happens on Tiger as well, it was actually seen on my other Intel machine running 10.4.11. I primarily use the machine just to test software update, but I happened to click on that menu item and saw the assertion.

looks this was caused by a left pane corruption of some kind... not enough informations to reproduce and no more reports. resolving as incomplete, but feel free to reopen if this finish up to be reproduceable on 3.1.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
