A common mistake when typing in a URL is to inadvertently place a comma after the www portion of the URL, rather than the required period. While a comma has an appropriate place in certain parts of more compound URLs, that is never the case after the opening www. Accordingly, I recommend that the software have an option to automatically convert any such comma so entered to a period, so as to obviate the need for the user to go back and correct this easily and commonly made mistake.
