Details
Tamarin-central's pcre engine is newer. lets get the new one and be careful to re-add any configuration ifdefs that matter (minbuild excludes pcre for example).

to decide: should we syncronize with webkit's pcre? it's customzed to match ecmascript semantics and work on 16 bit characters.
Suspect that you get better performance from adopting Spidermonkey's regexp code, especially with the improvements coming post-FF3. If you're in agreement, I wouldn't spend too many cycles integrating a different PCRE, but if it's easy then yeah, go for it. (bsmedberg is going to write a regexp engine that generates forth, anyway. :) )
