Details

If the pointer happens to be over the autocomplete results when they pop up, sometimes (not always) the item which happens to be under the pointer will become selected.  This is true even if the mouse is not moving, which is why this is a bug.

This is tricky to reproduce but happens often enough.  Move the pointer until it is about an inch or two below the location bar.  Focus the location bar with ctrl+l.  Start typing, one letter at a time.  Notice the item under the pointer selects itself.  If not, backspace and type something else.

Possibly this is an X11-only bug.
