In beta 1, it worked ok. The "File -> Close tab" menu item is disabled. (I use FF in my language, maybe the translation isn't exact.) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Are you able to reproduce the problem with a new firefox profile for a test? - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_manager Are you running any extensions in your 3.0b2 profile, and if so, what are they?
Version: unspecified → Trunk
yes, i have several extensions: Adblock Plus 0.7.5.3 DOM Inspector 1.9b2 DownThemAll! 0.9.9.10 - it's not compatible with beta 2, so it's disabled ForecastFox 0.9.6 - dtto FoxyProxy 2.6.2 Gmail Notifier 0.6.2.2 GreaseMonkey 0.8.20071208.0 NewsFox 0.8.3 - not compatible with beta 2, disabled

And did you test with a new firefox profile? - http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_manager (Do not delete your existing profile)
no. i've tried it right now. it's okay, ctrl+w is working. so i've started beta 2 the usual way and ctrl+w is working even in this situation. :-O maybe we should cancel this bug report and wait if i can repeat the issue.

This bug is as bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405100 I now working with firefox version 20.0.1, and still experience the same problem. It seems to me that when viewing a webpage which contains a video, ALT+W has a less probability to respond. I hope that this bug will be fixed during my life time.
