User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; ja; rv:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121016 Firefox/3.0b2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; ja; rv:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121016 Firefox/3.0b2
When filling in forms with an Input Method Editor (IME), switching tabs can cause Firefox to crash.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a form field in which text can be entered
2. Enable an IME (SCIM/Anthy in this case)
3. Select any other tab by clicking it
4. Select the previous tab where the form was selected
5. Select any other tab
Actual Results:
The tab bar gets redrawn (i.e. the tab selected shows as selected, and the other tabs show as unselected), but the view pane remains on the previous tab's content. Then Firefox crashes, unresponsive and not redrawing its contents, requiring a forced kill.
Expected Results:
The view pane returns to the tab selected and there is no crash.
Does not occur when no IME is in use.

Does this still happen with Firefox 3.6.6 or later in a fresh profile?

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.8 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
