User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 Build Identifier: Firefox 3 Beta 3.0b2 When searching for bookmarks I then want to know where this bookmark is stored in the hierarchy (in which bookmark folder). In other words: I want to locate the bookmark. In Eclipse you have a similar feature for locating an open file in the Package Explorer: "Link with Editor". Also: I do not only want to search for bookmarks themselves but also for folder names. I was a bit disappointed that these features did not make it into the new bookmarking system of Firefox 3. If not for better searching, for what else you need a databse? So I am making this enhancement request although the subject was mentioned before. Mentioned elsewhere: http://wiki.mozilla.org/Bookmarks_Use_Cases#More_on_Search https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406157 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292104 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to search for bookmarks 2. Enter a word that appears in a bookmarked URL 3. Try to figure out in which folder you have stored that bookmark Actual Results: No information about the folder where a bookmark is stored. Expected Results: If selected the bookmark should be located in the tree its position highlighted there. Tell me where the bookmark is.

Sadly, filing a bug which is a duplicate of two different bugs doesn't actually do anything to cause either one to be fixed, it only takes up some time from someone triaging bug reports.
