Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121120 Firefox/3.0b2
In Firefox 2 when you used the "open all in tabs" feature on a folder, all open tabs are replaced with the new tabs. In the Firefox 3 beta 2 it now adds to the already open tabs.
The only end user work around I can see is to close all tabs first before selecting the next folder of links to open, however, the current open tab remains open as a result.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Left Click on Folder of links and select "open all in tabs" and all those links open as they should.
2.Left Click on a Folder again and select "open all in tabs" and new tabs are opened and added to the prior tabs.
Actual Results:
Too many tabs are opened as a result.
Expected Results:
All current opened tabs replaced with the new tabs to prevent too many tabs being open at once.
Software should have cleared all current open tabs before creating new ones. Needs to be returned to prior version behavior or an option added to clear all tabs upon use of "open all in tabs".

Dupe of bug 395024 I think (via bug 409122)
I agree that it appears to be a duplicate of 395024 which did not turn up when I searched for this issue. I think my version is a bit more clear to understand by the average person due to being less technical and would be more likely to turn up on a search.
