Details

The Extension Manager has a "Hide toolbar" button (top right corner). However, in Firefox 3.0 Beta 2, clicking that button doesn't actually hide the toolbar, instead a gray area appears where the toolbar used to be. Clicking the button again makes the toolbar come back. The problem is that the space used by the toolbar isn't freed, instead its place becomes gray. Expected: Toolbar disappears, window shrinks to the new content size. (Acceptable alternatives: nothing happens when clicking the button, or no button is shown altogether.) Actual: Toolbar buttons disappear, only to have a gray bar take its place. We shouldn't ship with such a big display error, so blocking-firefox3? set.

This works for me, using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2007122304 Minefield/3.0b3pre . The "Hide toolbar" button hides the entire toolbar and resizes the extension list to fill in the space. I'm using 10.5.1.
Strangely, I also can't reproduce it now in Beta 2. Marking INVALID, I will reopen if it returns.
