User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071128 SeaMonkey/1.1.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071128 SeaMonkey/1.1.7 The _F_ile menu does not drop down when Navigator is in full-screen mode (F11) or if the menu bar has been collapsed. Restoring Navigator or un-collapsing the menu bar does not restore _F_ile menu function. Spawning a new window (Ctrl+N) does restore _F_ile menu function. ALSO: When Navigator is full-screen or with menu bar collapsed, Alt+ menu keys do not work for most menu items. Alt+E does work, after which you can use arrow keys to navigate. But all menu hotkeys should work regardless of whether the menu bar is visible or not. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Navigator, press F11 or collapse the menu bar. 2. Press Alt+F. The menu does not respond. 3. Restore Navigator (F11) or uncollapse the menu bar. Try to click the File menu. It depresses but does not drop down. Actual Results: File menu does not respond. Expected Results: File menu (and all other menus on the menu bar) should respond to events.

Can you reproduce with SeaMonkey v1.1.9 ?

RBL in future please file one issue per bug. You have list two main issues 1. menu not being restored 2. menus keys should work if no menu displayed #1 sounds vaguely familiar as on old bug that I haven't seen in years. #2 - Serge, it's never worked this way, correct? If so, it's either WONTFIX or ENH

Serge, I'm adding you because I think you got no bugmail for comment #2 where Wayne was asking you a question. ;-)

(In reply to comment #2) > #2 - Serge, it's never worked this way, correct? If so, it's either WONTFIX or > ENH I'm not familiar with how either FullScreen or CollapsedMenuBar work. I guess Neil is the one to tell and decide. *** Fwiw, [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1pre) Gecko/2008062902 SeaMonkey/2.0a1pre] (nightly) (W2Ksp4) Collapsed menu bar: neither Alt+F nor Alt+E work. [I would think this is not a bug.] "Restored" menu bar: everything seems to work as it should. FullScreen mode: Alt+F/Alt+E don't work, but I need to press Esc for F11 to work again. [At least, this seems to be a (separate) bug...] "Restored" mode: everything seems to work as it should.

Seamonkey 1.1.16 WinXP 32 SP3 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.21) Gecko/20090403 SeaMonkey/1.1.16 Mnenhy/0.7.6.666 Dudes, I can totally confirm this! Just try some permutations and you will see for yourself. If you press Alt+F in a "normal" window the file menu opens fine. If you immediately press F11 (full screen) and Alt+F, the file menu will open fine. If you press F11 again (normal window) and F11 again (full screen) Alt+F will not show the file menu. You have to press Alt+F in a "normal" window each time before pressing F11 to get Alt+F to work in full screen. I like to use F11 and Alt+F to print full screen maps from Google maps so it would be really nice if this could be fixed. Thanks

Well in that case you can at least still press Ctrl+P to print.
The fact of the matter is that Alt+F does NOT bring up the file menu whilst in full screen mode (eg F11 mode). So when a number of tabs are open on the screen, it is tedious to have to move the mouse to the top of the screen and then physically hit the x on the tab to close it. For those who use keyboard shortcuts, it would be far easier to just hit alt+F (file menu) then (c) for close tab. So my vote for this bug to be fixed.

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:2.0.2pre) Gecko/20110517 Firefox/4.0.2pre SeaMonkey/2.1.1pre Even in F11 full screen mode, Alt+F opens the File menu (and Alt+E the Edit menu, Alt+H the Help menu, etc.); but I am on Linux. SeaMonkey 1.1.x is dead. Does someone still have this problem in a current build (2.0.14 or later, or preferably 2.1 or later)?

WFM, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20110511 Firefox/4.0.1 SeaMonkey/2.1 Broken-ish, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 In 2.0, Alt+H H does open up Help, & Alt+F Alt+N Alt+B does bring up a new Window, so the keyboard shortcuts are working, but there is no visual indication of same.
