User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 In previous versions of Firefox (and Mozilla), when you opened a folder containing many bookmarks and selected one, when you went back to the bookmark folder you were at the same location. Starting recently (v. 2.0.0.11) the folder is now reset to the top, forcing the user to scroll down every time to reach their previous location. I can see some users may prefer it the new way, however I suspect many (including me) prefer the previous behaviour. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Click on folder in bookmark bar, scroll down a page or two and select a bookmark. 2. Reopen same folder in bookmark bar. Actual Results: The dropdown list will now be at the top instead of where the user had left it previously. Expected Results: The software should behave the same way as in previous versions and leave the dropdown list in the same state that the user left it. IDEALLY, a user could configure it to behave either way. The default condition should remain what users are used to (i.e. the previous behaviour). This is a small, but significant change to the behaviour of one of the more heavily used features of Firefox. Which is often a bad idea...
