User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.2; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 As I encounter this for the second time, I decided to post a bug. I searched on google for"ntfs 3g" (see URL above). It showed me results, the first being http://www.ntfs-3g.org/ But I can not load that page. If I click on the link, nothing happens (google result page is still displayed). If I middle click it, a new tab is opened, but with no content (gray page, does not have a right click menu at all; the tab title is "(Untitled)"). Menu View / Page Source shows : <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"><html><head><title></title></head><body></body></html> Manually entering the URL in the address bar does not do anything: - new empty tab : nothing happens, tab stays white, "View Page Info" claims about:blank is displayed - tab with other content : nothing happens, old content stays in the tab, "View Page Info" claims the old URL is still displayed I noted, that about:cache?device=memory shows this : Key: http://www.ntfs-3g.org/ Data size: 0 bytes Fetch count: 12 Last modified: 2007-12-30 13:53:17 Expires: 1970-01-01 01:00:00 Reproducible: Sometimes
Might this just be a problem with the site http://www.ntfs-3g.org/ itself? Did you try (can you try) using another browser for a while and see if loading that site also fails there?
Sorry. I thought it is obvious that this is a FF caching problem. After clearing the cache, the site loads without any problems.
This bug was originally reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.6 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME http://www.mozilla.com http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+mode
