I tried Eudora 8.0.0b2. It opens and asks for my master password. But it will not accept it and freezes.
Running on OS X Leopard on a Mac Pro
While I am not able to reproduce the freeze, I am being asked for my master password 3 times (Perhaps once per account set to check?). This is not good.

I also just tried this on TB 3.0. I get the same thing. The accept master password box will not accept my master password. This leaves TB in an unusable state.

James the way password are used changed very recntly in nightlies of Thunderbird, could you spend a few minutes to try a nightly and tell us if it got better ? And if you don't undertsand what we are talking about - ask we don't byte :-)
I gave up on Eudora, and am using the TB3 beta. It works properly.
