410278 - disk space never lows even when deleting messages

I decided to delete a lot of messages and to empty all trashes, and the DATA folder of Thunderbird keeps growing even after emptying the trashes.
My Data folder are in a different folder than the original one : D:\Current\Data\Thunderbird

Steps to Reproduce:

I check the properties of this folder: 3Gb
I delete a lot of files, empty all the trashes and the folder keeps growing : 3.3Gb

That's why there's a "Compact Folder" menu.

I know there is a way to compact folder, but i want to delete unwanted messages. It's supposed to delete messages, so free space
