Home page opens in english as defaulted. When searching using Google search box in upper right corner, results page is displayed with russian characters (cyrillic?) in all frame areas. Only my search words and the word 'Google' appear in english. Within the frame, some search results also appear entirely in cyrillic/russian.

Ran SpySweeper, Prevx, Norton...uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox. Feel hijacked...don't know how to kill it.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enter any search word(s) in Google search bar at top of Firefox browser frame
2. press enter or click the magnifying glass icon
3.

Displayed entire frame and search results in english (unless for some reason a search brought you a russian site as a search result.)
Not a security issue.

Recommend http://www.mozilla.org/support/ for support issues, or contact Google support since this is a problem with Google and not Firefox. The search bar does the same thing as going to Google and entering the term, it just saves you a step.

Google tries to direct people to a localized version of Google depending on where they think your computer address is. Sometimes they guess wrong: in the early days of the Mozilla Foundation we would sometimes get the German or UK versions of Google despite our office being in the same city as Google headquarters in California.
As mentioned in comment 2, Google's trying to be smart by guessing where you are and failing. See http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?answer=873 for options to fix this if you're still having issues.
