User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121014 Firefox/3.0b2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121014 Firefox/3.0b2 Attempting to load http://www.downloadsquad.com/category/macintosh/ causes a hang ("beachball") in Fx 3b2. The cursor beachballs and the Firefox process starts using close to 100% of CPU time. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Fx. 2. Go to http://www.downloadsquad.com/category/macintosh. Actual Results: The browser beachballs and consumes nearly 100% of CPU time, after initially rendering the page. Expected Results: The browser should render the page normally. There is a "Sample" of the process made with Activity Monitor attached. Build is Fx3b2 as downloaded from the Mozilla website.
Greg: I don't see this using the latest nightly on either 10.5 or 10.4, Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008010204 Minefield/3.0b3pre.
I should mention I'm using 10.4.11; build 8S2167. The extensions I have installed are: Proto 0.8.2 (Theme) 1Password 2.5.9.BETA-1 (build 5979) Adblock Plus 0.7.5.3 I can repro this with a clean profile. I think part of the problem might be with the Flash plugin; as the page renders and works fine very briefly, then the hang comes up.
... And while going back to my regular profile to get the extensions and testing again, it works now. Closing for now; sorry for the zilla spam.
