Session Restore was a Godsend, and it works just fine, except when i need it...

There are times (many) when a pop-under/up or an application hijack will kill all the benefits of Session Restore, and all my Tabs/Windows DEAD. And i suffer greatly because of this.

Primarily, Pop-unders & pop-ups are not always directed into Tabs as i would like and sometimes when i close my main FireFox session there is a single window left and this destroys my Firefox sessions, i lose ALL my browser Tabs and history that i've come to work with and expect each time i restart FireFox...

Secondarily, application Hi-jacks are getting very very common, Micro$oft uses one each time OS updates are installed and the system is rebooted, some FireFox extension programmers SPAM us with their own Hi-jacks each time an update is done, for example NoScript, FireFox updates, and more etc. More applications are adding "web help or what ever" which open separate FireFox windows on an installation reboot and at other times over-riding the into Tabs feature and destroying Session Restores... Although, either this has been fixed some what or i'm just avoiding those situations i cannot be sure, as i do not see this situation so often any more.

The point is that stuff happens, and i have lost too many important sessions where just having one previous step of history as a feature to Session Restore would have fixed all this.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open session
2.Somehow a separate window is opened
3.Close session
4.open window now destroys closed session restorability
Actual Results:
No ability to restore session

Expected Results:
I expect there to be some sort of session restore, so that i may restore the closed session(s) at that point. But all i'm left with is the separate window that got opened somehow intentionally or unintentionally.

Session Restore seems to only work when all of FireFox is completely closed down and then restarted, i need it to either allow a session restore immediately or to remember some short session history that i may choose when restarted so that i may recover my working session(s) from accidental mishaps.

See bug 368677 for the issue with popups and bug 394759 for the request to allow restoring of prematurely closed windows.

Work-around: Either get used to always quitting Firefox through File -> Exit or install the Session Manager extension from <https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2324> which allows reopening closed windows.
