User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11 Build Identifier: Eudora 8.0.0b2 When a window is opened to write a new message and the message is long enough to fill the window vertically, the last line being typed appears BELOW the bottom of the window making it impossible to see. The text is being entered but you can't see it until you physically scroll the window to see the last line. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Write a new message 2.Type to fill the screen vertically 3.Type one more line Actual Results: You can't see the last line typed, it is "below" the window. Expected Results: The window should scroll one line earlier. This is really annoying and I hope it can be fixed quickly. BTW, much is working well and even though porting from the old Eudora was not totally successful, most of the port did work. I do hope that eventually you can recreate the Eudora visual where both the IN and the OUT (Sent) boxes can be displayed together. Thanks, dan
While installing penelope on Vista there was another window, that was too small for its content. I think it was one of the windows that appear to make the first account. Did not try to reproduce by now. I just remember that I had to manually resize one of the windows to be able to click the "next" or "whatsoever"-button :)
Sorry, I am not able to reproduce the problem of the last line not being visible as you type. Please re-open this bug if you can provide more details. Thanks, Matt

I tried to reproduce the bug, but it did not show up. Then some hours later I wrote an email, you can see the results in the attached image. No scrollbar, last line hidden. The bug is there, but seems hard to reproduce.

I also have this problem. The scroll bar appears, but the text is not moved upward. I can barely see the cursor at the bottom of the window moving to the right as I type. Starting the next line will cause the previous one to scroll into view (but I need to see what I am typing as I type it, not after the fact). The specifics: Eudora v8.0 b3 Fedora 9 My work-around is to add a few blank lines at the bottom of the new text, then continue typing above those lines. Add more if I need to, then delete them when I am done. Tedious, but it works for me. Choosing really large fonts also seems to avoid the problem, but then you only get about three words per line...
When the last line disappears try to resize the window. That works for me. The scrollbar then also gets the down-button, that was previously invisible. It seems the status bar overlaps everything else until you resize the window. This solution works only for one message window. When you open a new one, it still persists. One funny thing: I tried switching the status bar off (View -> Toolbars -> Status Bar) but the problem ist still there. Even without the status bar.

Even without the status bar. Curiously, are you still seeing this in Eudora 8.0b6 or Thunderbird 3.0b2? Thanks, Matt
If you are able to reproduce this, please try try to reproduce it in Thunderbird 3.0.1 (http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/). If the problem is present in Thunderbird please file a bug against Thunderbird. If the problem is NOT present in Thunderbird please let me know or re-open the bug here. Thanks, Matt
