cannot remove password in remembered password box. when highlighted and remove selected it disappears from the box BUT when i return to the view passwords it's back.  have a lot of passwords that i would like to remove but seems impossible to do.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.select tools,options, security, show passwords
2.highlight remembered password, select remove
3.exit then return as in step 1 - password that was suppose to be deleted is back in listing
Actual Results:  
password was not deleted

Expected Results:  
password should have been deleted

i have a lot of duplicate passwords remembered that i would like to delete

This works fine for me, with any version of Firefox. I suspect a read-only file somewhere...

If you're so inclined, you might try installing a current Firefox 3 beta. If it still doesn't work, enable logging per http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox:Password_Manager_Debugging, attach the output here, and reopen.
