when I check for update, I get notified that there is new update, i download it restar firefox and get same notification about same update
update; 3.0b3pre 2008010813 nightly
some time download can just freeze

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.start firefox
2.help-check for updates
3.update downloaded
4.restart
5.check for update
6.same update available

Actual Results:  
infinite cycle of same update, freezing download

Expected Results:  
install current update, on next update notify if and only if new update is available

This is bug 410485 - the 20080101 and 20080102 win32 nightlies had a broken updater. You'll have to download the installer again from
  http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/
