When you're creating a new mail account and if the e-mail address
you entered happen to exist in the account database, you get no
warning and no account is created.
I don't have a complaint about not creating 2 accounts bearing the
identical e-mail addresses. But not warning why an account cannot be
created is not very friendly.
I would prefer to see us offer an option to change the e-mail
address to a non-overlapping one so that all the data you have
entered up to the "finish" button will not be wasted.

The closest I could find is bug# 29579 which states that two different AOL
accounts appear the same. I think this bug is different because the account
information is the same and it's asking for some type of warning.

I noticed that when the email address and server are the same then a new account
is Not created. When the email address is the same and the server is different
then it created a new account (Build 2000-05-30-09M116: Win95)
found it.. that bug applies to all servers though, not just news
