For the 3rd time in 2 weeks, Firefox has sent out an update which causes all bookmarks to be deleted. The information on the current version of Firefox is as follows; Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071127 Firefox/2.0.0.11. The operating system on my computer is Windows XP.

I have been using Firefox as my browser for 4 to 5 years and NEVER lost bookmarks before December 28, 2007 incident. I am very annoyed by these recurrances as it's a major inconvenience.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.I imported my bookmarks
2. Had to reset my home pages
3. Had to reinstall the firefox syncronization program
Actual Results:
Stop sending updates with bugs in them.

Expected Results:
I don't expect these bugs from Firefox

I have been using Firefox as my browser for 4 to 5 years and NEVER lost bookmarks before December 28, 2007 incident. Fire fox is a great product but I am very annoyed by these recurrences as it's a major inconvenience. Please fix the problem (bugs) immediately.
There hasn't been an update : 2.0.0.11 dates from November 27th.

For your problems, see <http://kb.mozillazine.org/Lost_bookmarks>. Your browser probably just found that the profile was corrupted or in use, and has created a new one.
Summary: Lost Bookmarks AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! → Lost Bookmarks AGAIN!
The whole Bookmark backend is new with FF3.0b2 because to avoid something like this. I don't think that the very old 2.X branch get a fix, marking wontfix
