User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows NT 6.0; SLCC1; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; Media Center PC 5.0; .NET CLR 3.0.04506; Zune 2.0; FDM)
Build Identifier:

Tried uninstalling-Said Firefox is still running - doesn't show up in task manager. Finally got uninstalled - reinstalled and tried to launch but says Firefox is running and must be closed - again doesn't show as running in task amanger. Doesn't show as an active app in task manager but won't launch - says is running and must be closed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Double click on Firefox icon (not a shortcut - the application icon).
2. "wheel turns"
3.application will not launch
Actual Results:
Double click on the Firefox icon (not a shortcut - the application icon).
"Wheel" turns - "Wheel" stops turning, application will not launch.

Expected Results:
Double click on the Firefox icon (not a shortcut - the application icon).
"Wheel" turns - "Wheel" stops turning, application will not launch.

The application should have started. When trying to uninstall, for awhile I got the message that "Firefox is running and must be closed" but the application was not running, and didn't show up under task manager. I finally was able to uninstall the program, downloaded a new copy and installed, and experience the same thing. I really like Firefox and hope to be able to use it again.
Please find the profile on your hdd (http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder) and look if you have a file "parent.lock" there. Delete this file and try it again.
