User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; sv-SE; rv:1.8.1.11) Gecko/20071204 Ubuntu/7.10 (gutsy) Firefox/2.0.0.11

Sometimes when I want to open a new tab and uses the Ctrl + t shortcut Firefox opens more than one new tab. And the same thing happens sometimes when I use Ctrl + F4 to close a tab, it closes all of them (one is left, it does not close the Firefox window)
I have no clue when this happens, but it's not all the time. It have happened almost 10 times (I would guess) in a month, when I switched from Windows XP to Ubuntu 7.10.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Expected Results:
Only one tab should have been opend or closed.
Computer specifics:
Ubuntu release lenny/sid with GNOME 2.20.1 and Linux kernel 2.6.22-14-generic.
GCC version: 4.1.3 (i486-linux-gnu)
Xorg version: 1.3.0 (29 September 2007)
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+

This bug i consistant in my current installation of Firefox (see below), i.e.
- CTRL+F4 CONSISTANTLY closes two tabs, not one.
- I do not have the above mentioned problem with CTRL+T; it only opens one empty tab.
My installation:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0

I was able to recreate Jonas's bug in 3.0.7 when I had both AIOS and TabMixPlus extensions enabled. Otherwise Ctrl+F4 behaved as expected.

I have Ctrl-F closing two tabs, I think since whatever the first release incarnation FF 3.5 was. This is consistent and persistent through M$ updates, reboots: completely reproducible. Ctrl-t only opens one tab, Ctrl-w only closes one. I have noticed no other oddity, and as far as I can tell my keyboard is good.

I do not have this problem any more. I don't recall when this issues stopped, but probably after the (then) uppcomming Ubuntu release, 8.04.

Sorry not to have noticed the fix ... 3.6.6 (normal mode) on this machine (IBM laptop, T42) is OK (having learnt to avoid the trouble, I did not test as often as perhaps I should). I cannot check my other machines for 2 months yet, but I do not recall any annoyance lately, probably for some time.
