412416 - Profile creation fails with hebrew in the userid

Neither FF 2.0.0.10 nor FF 3b2 will start up properly and create  a profile, when I tried on vista with a user directory of 
C:\Users\דניאל סדינוף\

Here are the failure modes:
FF2: silently fails when you try to run
FF3b2: gives import-a-profile dialog box, complains of a security initialization warning, then starts up well.  Crashes on first quit, and then will not start up thereafter.

running under a  a new user with an english-only username cures the problem entirely.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.  create a user on Vista, with two words in hebrew as the username
2.  attempt to run firefox
3.  fail.
Actual Results:  
FF2: doesn't start up 
FF3b2: starts up the first time with a few bumps, crashes on shutdown and then never runs again.

Expected Results:  
normal startup.

This is an UNPATCHED vista install:
Home basic with hebrew language support turned on, but the UI is english.

Danny do you still see this problem?  Have you looked for a duplicate bug (pretty sure it is too).

I'm happy to try to reproduce with the latest FF3 when I get to the office.

You've confused me, though. Is this not a bug for the crash?   I've only filed this one bug on the subject.

the crash on quit would possibly be a separate issue. And with a crash report, should be easy to track down

Danny, you should file a new bug on the crash on quit.

I'm not finding the dupe for the create problem.

This is mostly a dupe of bug 396052, but see also bug 469856 and bug 413171.
