Please read http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/getting-cvs-write-access.html for step-by-step directions on what is required in order to obtain CVS write access. Generally speaking, you'll need a SSH public key, signed CVS contributor form sent to Marcia Knous, and two vouchers plus one super-reviewer.

I vouch for Elio and will also work as mentor to manage him through mozilla contributions. Elio is specifically requesting access to NSS. bob
QA Contact: justdave → cvs-acct-req
According to the cvs guidelines, NSS is an exception. So what we need to move forward is the form and the SSH key attached to the bug.

MoCo folks, Is a PGP key an acceptable substitute for an SSH key? (If so, I'd be pleasantly surprised!)

right one this time

CVS Contributor Form faxed.
Due to a recent overhaul of the committer's agreement, we are requiring new forms be sent for accounts that have yet to be created, even if you have already filled out and submitted the old CVS Contributor Form. Please download the form at http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/committer/committers-agreement.pdf and submit it according to the directions specified at http://www.mozilla.org/hacking/notification/. We apologize for this necessary inconvenience. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Thanks!
(In reply to comment #8) I have signed and faxed the CVS Committer's Agreement v2.0 form.
Nothing has happened on this since I submitted the agreements. I now have several patches under review and one sponsor. Do I need a second sponsor to get the cvs account request granted?
Elio: All that is needed here is to confirm that we got your fax. But since that dates back to June and I did not comment in the bug it might have gotten misplaced (the faxes don't come in to me directly, they go to the office manager). Erica: Do you have a form from Elio?
Yes, I have a faxed Committer's Agreement from Elio that is signed, but it does not include a phone number, email address, or postal address.
Elio: If you can please either resend Erica a form with all the information filled out or email her the missing information, we can get this account created. Thanks.
I just sent the missing information to Erica.
I have received the remaining information from Elio.
We have received the missing information via email. Over to server-ops for account creation.

Despot account created. Over to server-ops for SSH key addition.

I tried doing a cvs co which failed, I guess I have to wait until server-ops confirms here that the ssh key has been added.
Please use the new public key.

Your CVS account has been created. Your CVSROOT should be: emaldona%redhat.com@cvs.mozilla.org:/cvsroot Don't forget to set your CVS_RSH environment variable to 'ssh'. You also now have a Mozilla LDAP account with access to the Mercurial server (that's granted in tandem with CVS these days). Your initial password and reset instructions for LDAP have been emailed to you. If you have any problems connecting to either, let me know.

Do I need a separate account for the nss www pages?
I ask because emaldona%redhat.com@cvs.mozilla.org:/cvsroot worked fine for checking out sources but I tried checking out the web pages to with emaldona%redhat.com@cvs.mozilla.org:/www and it failed. I will also be contributing to the maintenance of the documentation. Thanks.
Covered in email already, but just so anyone following the bug is aware, it's the same account, but additional privs and does have to be applied for separately (needs its own voucher).
Bob or Nelson, could you be a voucher for the documentation part?
I can vouch for Elio. bob
I tried checking out with CVSROOT=emaldona%redhat.com@cvs.mozilla.org:/www but it failed. Is the WWW part of the account access ready? I have documentation patches approved that I need to check in. Thanks in advance.
No, you should file a new bug with a summary of "webtree CVS Account Request for Elio Maldonado <emaldona@redhat.com>" for /www access.
You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
