Details
What Happened: I logged into AMO using Safari. I went to my extension (It's All Text!) and started to respond to the discussion threads there. However, when I submitted a response, I was sent to this URL: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/discussions/post.php I ran FF3b2 and it is able to reply to discussion topics easily. What I Expected: Safari shouldn't be prevented from working on AMO, even if it's not the mozilla browser. Ciao!

I haven't investigated the issue yet, but please at least rest assured that there is no intention to exclude any browser from accessing AMO :)

I would like to apologize; In trying to make my report as accurate as possible I implied that AMO might be excluding Safari. I was trying to be factual, not to imply any malice or assign any blame. I'm sorry. I have talked with several AMO people as well as other Mozilla people and they are all decent people who wouldn't do something like that.

I noticed these bugs, which I think might be related: Bug 374048 - discussion redirects in a way that upsets Konqueror Bug 375463 – http -> https redirection problem Bug 399947 – http -> https redirection problem Bug 407141 – http -> https redirection problem In fact, I think these should all be marked as a duplicate and should probably be fixed. There is a comment on bug 375463 that says that it's because the discussion pages don't use the magic proxy detection code, whatever that is. Ciao!

(In reply to comment #2) > I would like to apologize; In trying to make my report as accurate as possible > I implied that AMO might be excluding Safari. Don't worry: No offense taken!
